The Lofts at 2601

2601 N Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19132

Located within the historic North Broad Street station, Volunteers of America Delaware Valley’s Lofts at 2601 have come to provide safe, affordable housing for some of Philadelphia’s most vulnerable residents. While the building’s exterior still boasts its impressive Classical Revival architectural style, the interior has undergone extensive development and renovation. The Lofts at 2601 presently offer 56 units of affordable housing for formerly or imminently homeless adults with a documented disability. All residents are offered supportive services, including case management, service linkage, and workshops designed to promote stability, positive functioning, and independence.

In recognizing there is not a one-size-fits-all approach to housing nor single definition of “home”, the Lofts at 2601 offers a variety of options based on our residents’ needs and preferences, and all spaces are fully accessible and ADA-compliant. The Lofts at 2601 has: 26 single room occupancies; 16 efficiency apartments; and 14 single bedroom apartments. In addition to private living space, the Lofts at 2601 offer communal kitchens, dining areas, meditation rooms, a computer lab, and resource rooms, which have been created to facilitate a stronger sense of community amongst residents. A full food pantry is also available on-site to residents. All 56 units of housing have a preference for homeless individuals with 14 units set aside for Department of Behavioral Health clients referred from the City of Philadelphia.
